Head of Sales
ARIX Technologies is a growing venture-backed robotics company based in Houston, Texas bringing state of the art technology solutions to petrochemical refineries and utilities to significantly improve their safety and efficiency. The company has developed pipe-crawling inspection robots and big data management and visualization software that transforms how operators manage their critical pipeline assets. They have completed projects in the US and internationally and are at the inflection point of significant growth.
The Head of Sales will carry responsibility for both relationship sales and execution of a deliberate, data driven sales approach to grow the company. The selected candidate will be responsible for consistently assessing market trends and client needs to best position the company with customers, as well as manage expectations and sales commitments. The role includes but is not limited to growing and developing the Sales team; managing and expanding relationships with existing customers; maintaining an awareness of new market opportunities; establishing sales processes and standards; maintaining critical technical data; as well as working with marketing in developing presentation packages and branding materials that allow the company to factually present its capabilities and effectively position itself in the market to increase market share.
The ideal executive for this role will be a leader and partner, a team player, and is deeply interested in driving transformational change with customers using technology. They will be passionate about delivering quality services and solutions to clients and in building and scaling the company’s sales function. The ideal candidate will also be tenacious, love challenges, and be highly self-motivated, thriving on winning business and finding ways to close deals. This individual will also have great empathy with customers, building solid relationships with them, understanding their problems and challenges, and providing effective solutions. They will be curious and open to novel business models and adept at finding and driving solutions to bring those models to life.
