General Compensation Manager
CITGO is a US-based refiner, transporter and marketer of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and other industrial products headquartered in Houston, Texas. The company owns three large and complex refineries in the United States and is the 5th largest refiner in the country. The company has over 3,400 employees and also owns and operates terminals, pipelines, and lubricant blending and packing plants. CITGO also has over 4,900 independently owned branded retail outlets across America.
The General Compensation Manager works closely with the Manager, Total Rewards to establish company objectives for the design and administration of Compensation programs. This individual develops and manages the implementation of compensation processes such as job evaluation, competitive analysis, merit planning, bonus planning, salary administration, executive plan administration and special studies. The successful candidate establishes company-wide procedures and directs the documentation of compensation processes. The General Compensation Manager develops solutions, identifies improved processes, systems, and new approaches to address compensation issues. This individual will have the ability to provide support as needed for Executive and Management groups, represent CITGO at various professional meetings and make presentations to communicate compensation processes, issues and results. This role will manage the annual departmental budget process.
