The Role:
The Chief Engineer will build a best practice engineering organization to provide expert technical guidance for all engineering initiatives incorporating all functions related to R&D, and new product development. The Chief Engineer provides leadership and direction to the in-house engineering function as well as to any outsourced engineering partners and is also fully accountable for the performance and results of the multiple disciplines within the function. An important aspect of this role is to provide mentoring to a young but keen engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background and expert knowledge of compressor design and process systems from a leading company in the space, preferably related to hydrogen. As a subject matter expert, this individual will have a strong ability to speak technically and credibly at all levels including to clients and to high level technical professionals. The ideal candidate will also possess strong leadership skills and the ability and desire to mentor and develop others.
