The firm has approximately 150 team members and advisors across offices in Oklahoma City, Dallas, New York, and London, investing across private equity funds, special purpose vehicles and open-ended structures. The firm manages capital for roughly 20% of American pension funds. Warwick’s energy and natural resources platforms are vertically-integrated with geology, engineering, operations, midstream, accounting, land and investment teams all in house. Warwick does not back other management teams, it is both the private equity sponsor and the management team. The team will be investing its 5th energy fund in 2024

The Role:

The Energy team’s Head of Business Development will serve as a strategic leader and tactical initiator in key relationships for the firm in the upstream market. This person will oversee the development and execution of the growth strategy for third, fourth and fifth energy funds. This individual will source, identify and help evaluate and execute acquisitions, and work with the technical teams to make strategic acquisition and divestiture decisions.

The Head of Business Development will be responsible for sourcing deal flow from his/her network that will lead to deal flow, farm in’s, joint ventures and acquisition and divestiture opportunities. Deal and JV sourcing is expected to be a large aspect of this role, as well as portfolio monitoring.  This role will also have responsibility for evaluating and implementing divestitures.
