Hunting Energy Services is a division of parent company Hunting PLC. Hunting PLC was founded in 1874 and has been a leader in manufacturing critical components, high technology systems and precision parts for internal oil and gas and energy service groups. Hunting PLC has over 40 locations, operating in 11 countries.

Hunting has acquired Organic Oil Recovery and their entire portfolio of intellectual property, comprising over 25 discreet patents, the distribution rights for the technology and the laboratory located in California. Following the acquisition, the Company will hold the global rights for the OOR technology and is now well placed to further accelerate commercialization across North America and the rest of the world. The technology is biodegradable, low cost, requires no capital expense and has a much lower carbon footprint than all other EOR methods. It is a proven science which uses nature itself to increase oil production onshore and offshore.

The Hunting Energy Services is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and the Organic Oil Recovery laboratory is located in Pomona, California.
The Role:
The Sr. Microbiologist will be the head of Organic Oil Recovery’s (OOR) laboratory and provide scientific support to all current operations for this segment of the business across the globe. The Sr. Microbiologist will play a key role in the development and protection of intellectual property and trade secrets as it relates to the OOR technology and any related potential opportunities leading to growth and success for the company both in the US and internationally. He/she will ultimately be responsible for all work and the quality thereof being completed inside the laboratory in support of the OOR technology implementation. This work will include heavy interaction with customers, presentations of technical reports generated from laboratory analysis, as well as representation of the company to the industry.

This is an opportunity for a growth minded individual to work on a cutting edge technology which will change the face of sustainable oil recovery and have impact on a larger scale. This individual will also have to opportunity to grow into a larger role within the next few years. A two-year career progression plan is established, contingent upon achieving proficiency in the technology and demonstrating a complementary skill set, paving the way for advancement to the Director level as the technology expands.

The Sr. Microbiologist will initially be based in the laboratory in Pomona, California and ideally transition to Houston, Texas within a few years.
