Senior Search Consultant

The Senior Search Consultant is responsible for winning and executing executive level search assignments for clients, ultimately filling the client needs with an exceptional candidate placement.  This individual will develop, grow and maintain relationships within a specific industry and/or region to expand the client base and revenue for the business.


  • Responsible for developing new business and winning new work with existing and new clients

  • Attending networking and business development events as a representative of Merrimac International

  • Developing and leading BD events throughout the year

  • Writing and submitting proposals to potential clients as needed

  • Building and maintaining relationships across the region with specific industry contacts

  • Main liaison with clients for specific search assignments

  • Project management of specific search assignments including fully briefing and providing direction to the research team throughout the assignment

  • Fully interviewing and assessing potential candidates for jobs using behavioral interviewing techniques

  • Developing and delivering all reporting to clients and leading weekly search progress meetings and shortlist meetings

  • Follow up with clients regarding interviews and offers

  • Follow up with potential candidates whether moving forward or not

  • Managing offer negotiations between clients and chosen candidates

  • Working collaboratively with the Merrimac team across functions and providing support as needed to colleagues



  • Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA preferred

  • Experience in executive search a plus

  • Possessing a high level of integrity with purpose driven motivation

  • High level of expectation for oneself

  • Open and friendly – a collaborative teammate
